Guidance from Quran

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا   إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ “And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.” Surah Luqman, 18 Someone may not be able to file a case against us in this world if we are insulting them just with our facial expressions. Or we put them down with just the way we walk in front of them. But Allah, being the most Just of the judges, will hold us accountable even for this crime. Subhaanallah! May Allah make us of those who are humble and thankful even with all the blessings He gives us. "ހީވަނީ މަންމަ ހުންނާނީ ސިންގަޕޯރ ގަހެން. އެއީ މެލޭޝިޔާގަ އުޅުނު ދުވަސްވަރު މަންމަ ވަރަށް ސިންގަޕޯރ އަށް ގޮސް ހަދާނެ. އެތާނގަ މަންމަގެ ވަރަށް ގިނަ ފްރެންޑުންވެސް އުޅޭނެ." މުޙްސިން އެއްދުވަހު ސިޓިންގް ރޫމުގެ ސޯފާގައި މިރްޒާނާއެކީ އިނދެ އޭނައަށް ލަފާ ކުރެވުނު ގޮތް ކިޔައިދިނެވެ. އެއާއެކު މިރްޒާނަށް އެކަމާމެދު ވިސްނެން ފެށިއެވެ. މުޙްސިނާއިއެކީ އެ މަންޒިލަށް ދާން މިރްޒާނަށް ވަގުތުން ނިންމުނެވެ. އެހެނަސް އޭނައަށްވަނީ އެ އަހަރުގެ އަހަރީ ޗުއްޓީ މުޅިން ނެގިފައެވެ. ހިނގަމުން ދިޔަ މަހަކީ އޮކްޓޯބަރު މަސްކަމަށް ވުމުން ދެން އޭނައަށް ޗުއްޓީ ނެގެން އޮތީ ވެސް މަސްތަކެއް ފަހުން ކަން އެނގުންވުމުން މިރްޒާން މާޔޫސްވިއެވެ. އަދި މުޙްސިންއާއެކީ އެހާ ދުރަށް ދަތުރުކުރަން އޭނަ އިތުރަށް ލާރިވެސް އެއްކުރަން ޖެހޭނެކަން އެނގުންވުމުން އިތުރަށް ދެރަވިއެވެ. އޭނަ އެ ވާހަކަތައް މުޙްސިނާއި ޙިއްސާކުރިއެވެ. "އިޓްސް އޯކޭ ބައްޕާ. އައިމް ޝުއާރ މަންމަ ހުންނާނީ ސަލާމަތުން. މަންމަގެ ފޮތްތައް ވިކި މަންމައަށް ލާރިވެސް ލިބޭނެވިއްޔާ. އަދި ކުރިންވެސް ބުނިހެން ބޭރުގަ އުޅޭނެ މަންމަގެ ވަރަށް ރަނގަޅު އެކުވެރިން ވ

Quick recap: There are four properties of isms (nouns). 1.      Status: rafa’ (doer), nasb (detail), jarr 2.      Number: Singular, pair, plural 3.      Gender 4.      Type In the previous lessons we discussed about the first two properties of isms, status and number. Today, we are going to be looking at the third property which is, ‘gender’. Every ism (noun) in Arabic has a gender. The gender could be masculine (Muzakkar) or feminine (Mu-annas). The general rule in Arabic is that a word is always masculine, unless it’s proven to be feminine. Today we will be looking at just one common way a word could be feminine. And that is simply by adding a round ‘thaa’ to the end of a word. The examples below show how that happens. مُسْلِمٌ                              à                          مُسْلِمَةٌ Muslim man                                     Muslim woman نَصِحٌ                         à نَاصِحَةٌ                    Advisor (male)                    

“ Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Jannah. Companions of Jannah, they are the successful.” Suratul Hashr, 20 The lives that the companions of Fire lead, is completely different from the lives of the companions of Jannah. The kind of sacrifices that the companions of Jannah make are not the same as the others make. The kind of struggles they voluntarily go through is not the same as others do. Their ‘high’ rank with Allah in the Akhirah is because of their ‘high’ standards in their obedience to Allah in this dunya. So how can we expect ourselves to be one of those people, if we are just going through our days without even remembering Allah ? If our lives are not so different from those who don’t even believe? If the way we spend our time is not so different from the way they do. Subhaanallah! May Allah make us from the companions of Jannah, thus making us those from the successful both in this life and in the next. Ameen! ********************

Before you daydream about marriage….think! Think about the state you are in right at this moment. Are you a real man? Are you a real woman? Are you ready to accept a person full of flaws? Are you ready to emotionally invest in some one even during the toughest of days? Are you responsible enough to take care of an entire household on your own? Are you financially capable of doing that? Are you the kind of role model you want your future kids to look up to? Are you doing something that they could be proud of? Do you have the kind of work ethic, perseverance and faith in Allah so that they can follow your lead? These are questions we need to ask ourselves before we daydream about marriage. And if the answer to any of these questions is in the negative, we seriously need to work on ourselves. أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ “Doesn’t He Know who he created, while He is the Subtle, the All-Aware?” Suratul Mulk, 14 Allah gave instructions to the human being, fully Knowing his strengths and weaknesses. What then, makes us disobey Him, while we know that He is fully aware of whatever we go through? *********************************************** أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ "އެކަލާނގެ އުފެއްދެވީ ކާކުކަމާމެދު އެކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގެންނުވަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެކަލާނގެއީ އޯގާވަންތަކަން ބޮޑު ހުރިހާ ކަމެއް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވި ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ." ސޫރަތުލް މުލްކް، 14 ﷲ އިންސާނާއަށް އިރުޝާދުތައް ދެއްވީ އިންސާނާގެ ހުރި ބާރުތަކާއި ބަލިކަށިކަން ވެސް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ޙާލުގައެވެ. ވީއިރު އެކަލާނގެއީ އަހަރުމެންގެ ޙާލަތް އެންމެ ރަނގަޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ކަލާނގެކަން ދެނެތިބެ އަހަރުމެން އެކަލާނގެއަށް އުރެދެންވީ ކީއްވެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

اللّهُمَّ حَبِّبْ إِلَيْنَا اْلإِيْمَان وَزَيِّنْهُ فِيْ قُلُوْبِنَا، وَكَرِّهْ إِلَيْنَا اْلكُفْرَ وَاْلفُسُوْقَ وَاْلعِصْيَان، وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الرَّاشِدِيْن "O Allah! Make iman beloved to us, and beautify it in our hearts, and make disbelief, sinning and rebellion hateful to us and make us from among those who are rightly guided." One of my favourite duas that is found in a hadhith but is derived from the Quran. You know when this dua gets really beautiful? When you literally feel this dua happening within you. At first you realize that you are doing something wrong. And it feels hard to let go. But you just know that you have to if you want to please Allah, you have to make a sacrifice. Then out of nowhere you find the strength to let go. That is ‘habbib ilainal iman’….iman being more beloved to you. More beloved to you than your vain desires and perhaps even your wrong aspirations. But just because you let go, does not mean it was easy. You still had to hold you

ހިދާޔަތުގެ ސަބަބުން ހަމަޖެހުން ލިބިގެން ދިޔަ އައްޒާމާއި މާޝާގެ ޙަޔާތަށް ދެން އެއްވެސް ހިތާމަވެރިކަމެއް ނާންނާނެހެން އެ ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް ހީވިއެވެ. ދެމީހުން ވެސް ހިނގަންވީ މަގު ނުހަނު ސާފުކޮށް އެމީހުންގެ ކުރިމަތިން އެދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް ފެންނަމުން ދިޔައެވެ. އެހެނަސް އެ ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް ނޭނގުނުކަމަކީ މި މަގަކީ އިމްތިޙާންތަކުން ވެސް ފުރިގެންވި މަގެއްކަމެވެ. އަދި އެމީހުންގެ އީމާންތެރިކަމުގެ ވަރުގަދަކަން ސާބިތުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އެމީހުން ނުހަނު ދަތި ދުވަސްތައް ވެސް ކަނޑައްތު ކުރަން ޖެހޭނެކަމެވެ. ދީނީ ޢިލްމު ލިބެމުން ދިޔައެއްކަމަކު މާޝާއާއި އައްޒާމްގެ ހިތުގައި އުފެދެމުން ދިޔަ އިޙްސާސްތައް އެގޮތުގައިވިއެވެ. މަގުމަތިން ދެމީހުންނަށް އެކަކު އަނެކަކު ފެނިއްޖެނަމަ ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް ހިނިތުންވެލެވެއެވެ. އެހެނަސް ކުރިން ހަދާހެން ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް އެކަކު އަނެކަކާއި ވާހަކަ ދައްކަން ނުކެރުނީ ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް ދޭހަ ނުކުރެވުނު ސަބަބަކާހެދިއެވެ. އެދެމެދުގައި ވާހަކަ ނުދެކެވުނެއްކަމަކު ދެމީހުންގެ ދެމެދުގައި ހިނގަމުން ދިޔަ ކަންތައްތަކުން އެ ދެހިތުގެ އެދުމަކަށްވެފައިވީ ކޮންކަމެއްކަން ދެމީހުންނަށް ވެސް އެނގ
