Guidance from Quran

Before we go to the next topic, we should know that generally there are 3 kinds of words in Arabic. They are: 1.      Fi’l (verbs – eg: eat, go, begin) 2.      Ism (nouns – eg: cat, house, rat) 3.      Harf (words that make no sense unless another word is added to it – eg: it, is, the, a) So far we learned something about Fi’ls (verbs). Fi’ls will be detailed in upcoming lessons In Sha Allah but for now we are going to start with Isms (nouns). The first thing we should know about isms, is that each ism has 4 properties. These are like the ‘4 wheels’ of an ism. The 4 properties are: 1.      Status 2.      Number 3.      Gender 4.      Type We will be learning about each property separately so that we are clear about all 4 properties. So today, we will be learning about the first property which is, ‘status’. Whenever we have an ism (noun) in Arabic, it will fall into one of 3 statuses. It would either be رَفَع , نَصب or جَر . *First post to describe a linguistic beauty of an ayah* Bismillah! وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ “And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance. So is there anyone who will make an effort to remember?” Suratul Qamar The actual word for ‘making an effort to remember’ is   مُتَذَكِّر (Muthazakkir). This word means to make a LOT of effort to remember. And in Arabic, there is a rule that says that we can make the letters of a word less, in order to make it mean lesser. So for مُتَذَكِّر we can fuse the ت and ذ and say مُذَّكِر (Muzzakir). So مُذَّكِر would mean to make a little less effort. To make even this word mean less, we can make the middle letter light. The letter د has a lighter sound than ذ so we can say مُدَّكِر (Mudhdhakir). And this last word is the word that Allah uses in the ayah above. He swt used the lightest version of the word. "ތިމާގެ ކުއްޖެކޭ؟ މިއީ އަހަރުންނާ ތިމާގެ ކުއްޖެއް ނޫން. މީގެ ހަފްތާއެއްހާ ދުވަސްކުރިން މީނަ އައީ ކުޑަ ކުއްޔަކަށް މިގޭގަ ހުރެވިދާނެހޭ ކިޔާފަ. މިގޭގަ ނޯކަރެއްގެ ގޮތުގަ މަސައްކަތް ވެސް ކޮށްދޭނަމޭ ކިޔާފަ. އާލެއް އިޔާރެއް ހުރި މީހެއްނޫން މިއީ. މިރަށު މީހެއްގެ ކުއްޖެއްވެސް ނޫން މިއީ." އެ ފިރިހެން މީހާ ކިޔައިދިން ވާހަކަތަކުން މިރްޒާންގެ ނިތަށް ރޫގިނަވިއެވެ. އޭނައަށް ކުއްލިއަކަށް ބަލާލެވުނީ އޭނަގެ އެއްފަރާތުގައި ހުރި ހަސަނާއި ދިމާލަށެވެ. އެ ހިނދު ހަސަން އޭނައަށް ބަލަން ހުރެފައި އިސްޖަހާލީ ކުށްވެރިއެއް ފަދައިންނެވެ. ހަސަން އޭނައަށް ދޮގު ހެދީ ކީއްވެތޯ މިރްޒާންގެ ހިތް ސުވާލުކުރިއެވެ. އިރުކޮޅެއް ވަންދެން މިރްޒާނަށް ހަސަނާއި ދިމާލަށް ބަލަހައްޓައިގެން ހުރެވުނީ އެކަން ޤަބޫލުކުރަން ދަތިވުމުންނެވެ. "ކޮންމެ ގޮތެއްވިޔަސް އަހަރުމެން ކުރާ ކަންތައްތަކާ ކަލެއަކަށް ނުބެހެވޭނެ! މީނަ ޖެހެނީ ހަމަ...." ފިރިހެން މީހާ އެހެން ބުނެ އަނެއްކާވެސް ހަސަންގެ ގިރުވޯނުގައި ހިފާލިތަނާހެން މިރްޒާން އިސާހިތަކު އައި ރުޅިއާއެކީ އެ މީހާގެ އަތުގައި ބާރަށް ހިފައި އެ ގިރުވޯނުން ނައްޓުވައި ބާރަށް ފޮޅުވާލިއ

ކާރު ތެރޭގައި އިންއިރު ވެސް ކެތްތެރިކަން ކޮޅުން ލަމުން ދިޔަ މިރްޒާނަށް ކުޑަ ދޮރުން ބޭރު ބަލަމުން އާތިފް އެ ބުނި ފިހާރަ ފެނޭތޯ ބަލަމުން ދިޔައެވެ. އެންމެ ފަހުން މިރްޒާން އެހެން އިންދާ ކުއްލިއަކަށް ފިހާރައެއްގެ ނަންބޯޑުން އެ ނަން ފެނިފައި މިރްޒާނަށް ކުއްލި ގޮތަކަށް މަޑުކުރާށޭ ބުނެލެވުނެވެ. އޭގެ ދެވަނަ ސިކުންތުގައި ކާރު ކުއްލިއަކަށް ބުރަކި ޖައްސާލި ތަނާހެން މިރްޒާން ކާރުގެ ދޮރު ހުޅުވައި ފޭބިއެވެ. އަދި އަވަސްވެފައިވި ހިތަކާއެކީ ދިގު ފިޔަވަޅުތަކެއްގައި ފިހާރައިގެ ދޮރާއި ދިމާލަށް ދިޔައެވެ. އޭނަ ގޮސް އެ ކުޑަ ފިހާރައިގެ ދޮރުގައި އަތް އަޅާލަން އުޅުނު ވަގުތު އެ ދޮރު ހުޅުވިގެން ދިޔައެވެ. އެއާއެކު ފެނިގެން ދިޔަ ސޫރައިން މިރްޒާންގެ ނޭވާ ހުއްޓިގެން ދިޔައެވެ. އޭނައަށްވުރެ ކުޑަ ތަންކޮޅެއް ކުރުކޮށްހުރި ހިކި ހަށިގަނޑެއް ލިބިފައިވި ފިރިހެން ކުއްޖާގެ މޫނު ފެނިފައި އޭނައަށް އޭނަގެ އަމިއްލަ ނަފްސާއި ދިމާލަށް ބަލަން ހުރެވުނު ކަހަލަ އިޙްސާސެއް މިރްޒާނަށް ކުރެވުނެވެ. އެ މޫނަކީ އޭނައާއި އެއްވަރަށް އަލި މޫނެކެވެ. ގަދަ ބުމައެއް ލިބިފައިވީއިރު ދެ ތުންފަތް ތުންޏެވެ. މޫނުގެ ތިރިން ދެ ފަރާތުން ކަތުރުކަށިގަނޑު ހުނ
