Guidance from Quran

Since we are talking about Musa (AS), might as well share a bit from this epic story full of incredible lessons. As we all know Musa (AS) went up the mountain named Tur and spoke with Allah while he was in the valley of Tuwa which was on top of that mountain. So a beautiful conversation takes place between Allah and Musa (AS) and this is captured in detail in Surah Ta Ha. Of course Allah speaks with Musa (AS) from the unseen. What I want to share in this post is just one part of what happened on the mountain. Allah swt asks Musa (AS) to throw his staff. On a side note I want to add something. The first time we heard about the staff of Musa (AS) as an ‘Asaa, many of us (including myself) imagined Musa (AS) as this old man who needs a stick to walk. I don’t think I could have been more wrong. The Quran describes Musa (AS) as a strong and muscular man! (Look up Suratul Qasas). Yup! We often tend to think that it’s a difficult process to make our children familiar with the Quran and make them love the Book with all their hearts. But I can tell you that it is not true. I had this beautiful experience with a 4 year old kid and the book that I have posted below (Goodnight stories from the Quran). So this kid came to me with the book and told me to tell her a story. Though she knew how to read, she needed to be explained what happens in the story. For some reason, the story of Musa (AS) is her favorite. So I told her the story as it was in this book. (Though I said Musa (AS) for Moses and Fir’aun for Pharoah because that’s how those names appear in the Quran). And that was it! After the story, all I had to do was tell her that this story is in Surah Ta Ha. And Surah Ta Ha is one the surahs that she listens to most frequently because she likes the rhythm of it. As soon as I said it, she goes, “Let’s listen to Surah Ta Ha to see if it tells the story.” I sai

"އައްޒާމްގެ އިންޓަވިއު ނިންމާލާފަ ހަމަ ގަޑިއިރުތަކެއްފަހުން ފުރުން އޮތީ. ހަވީރު އެހާ ހިސާބަށް ދެވޭނީ." އާތިފް އަންދާޒާކޮށްލަމުން ބުނެލިއެވެ. އެ ހިނދު މިރްޒާން ފުން ނޭވައެއް ދޫކޮށްލީ އޭނަގެ އަވަސްވެފައިވި ހިތް ހަމައަކަށް އެޅުވޭތޯއެވެ. އެހެނަސް މި ވޭތުވި ދެދުވަސްތެރޭގައި ވެސް އޭނަގެ ހިތްވީ އެފަދަ ޙާލެއްގައެވެ. ފަޔާޒް މާލެއަށް އަނބުރާ އައިސް 'ހަސަން' އާ ބެހޭގޮތުން ކިޔައިދިން ވާހަކަތަކެއްގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ. އޭނައަށް އެންމެ ފަހުން އޭނަގެ ދަރިފުޅު ފެންނަން އުޅެނީތޯ ހިތަށްއެރި ވަގުތު މިރްޒާނަށް ނޭނގި އޭނަގެ ތުންފަތްމައްޗަށް ހިނިތުންވުމެއް ވެރިވިއެވެ. ** ހެނދުނުގެ އެ ވަގުތުގައި މާޝާވީ މަންހާމެން ފުވައްމުލަކަށް އައިސް އުޅޭ ގޭގައެވެ. އެއީ މަންހާގެ ދައްތައެއް ފިރިމީހާއާއި ދެކުދިންނާއެކީ އުޅެމުންދާ ގެއެވެ. މަންހާ މާޝާއާއި ބައްދަލުވި އައި ފުރަތަމަ ދުވަހަށްފަހު މާޝާ ގިނަގިނައިން އެގެއަށް ގޮސް ހަދައެވެ. އެ ގެ ހުންނަނީ މާޝާމެންގެ ގެއާއި މާ ދުރުގައި ކަމަށްނުވުމުން އެކަނި ދާންވެސް ލަތީފާއި ހާފިޒާވަނީ މާޝާއަށް ހުއްދަ ދީފައެވެ. މަންހާ ކަހަލަ ރަނގަޅު ކުއްޖަކާއި ތަކުރާރުކޮށް ބ

It’s a HUGE misconception that religious people are harsh, judgemental and hard-hearted. The fact of the matter is, it’s the people who truly remember Allah who smile the brightest, show the utmost kindness and are filled with humbleness. Because it is they, whose hearts are content with their Master. It is they whose hearts love their Creator and hence they love His creations. And it is they who realize that it’s only their Master Who is the Highest and the Greatest hence they don’t feel the need to show arrogance to anyone. If we are missing any of these qualities, then there is something missing in our remembrance of Allah. May Allah make us of those whose hearts are filled with His remembrance. "ހާދަ ރުޅިއައިސްފައޭ ދަރިފުޅު ތިހިރީ. ކާފަ ގޮވީމަ ލައްބައޭ ވެސް ނުބުނޭ.....ވަރަށް ދެރަވެއްޖެ. އިބިލީސް މާ ބޮޑަށް ބޮލަށް އެރީދޯ؟" ހާޝިމް އެންމެ ފަހު ޖުމްލައިން ހިނިތުންވުމަކާއެކީ ސަމާސާ ރާގެއް އެޅުވީ އައްޒާމްގެ ތަބީޢަތު ރަނގަޅުވާނެ ކަމުގެ އުއްމީދުގައެވެ. އެހެނަސް.... "ރޭގަ މަންމަ ގުޅި." އައްޒާމް ހުރިގޮތަށްހުރެ ބުނެލި ވާހަކައިން ހާޝިމްގެ ހިނިތުންވުން ފިލައި އޭނަ ހުއްޓުންއެރިއެވެ. އައްޒާމް އެ ނަންގަތް މީހެއްގެ ސޫރަ ހާޝިމްގެ ލޮލަށް ސިފަވެގެން ދިޔަ ވަގުތު އައްޒާމް ކުއްލިއަކަށް އޭނަގެ އަތުގައި އޮތް ހޮޅި ބިމަށް ޖަހާލާފައި އިސްކުރު ކައިރިއަށް ގޮސް ފެން ބާރުކޮށްލިއެވެ. އެއަށްފަހު އޭނަ ހާޝިމާއިވީ ފަރާތަށް އެނބުރި ކުރިއަށްދާން އުޅުނެވެ. އެހެނަސް ނޭނގޭ ސަބަބަކާހުރެ އޭނަ ކުރިއަށް އެއްފިޔަވަޅު އެޅުމަށްފަހު އިސްޖަހާލަމުން ގޮށްމުއްކަވާލި މަންޒަރު ހާޝިމަށް ފެނުނެވެ. އޭގެ ދެވަނަ ސިކުންތުގައި އޭނަ އިސްއުފުލާލަމުން ރުޅިވެރި އަޑަކުން ވާހަކަ ދެއްކިއެވެ. "އެމީހުން ދެން ކީއްކުރަންތަ އަހަރެން ގެންނަން އެއުޅެނީ؟!! އެންމެ ބޭނުންވި ދުވަހު އެމީހުން އަހަރެން ދޫކޮށްލާފަ ދިޔައީ
