Hadhiya (Blog post 24)

I’ve lost count, of the many times when I felt low and listening to an ayah lifted up my spirit. The many times I felt sad to the point where I can’t even explain myself and it was ayah I came across that consoled me. The many times I was in tears and in utter hopelessness and it was an ayah I was reminded of, that changed the steps I took towards a better future. The many times I was inspired to do things I never thought I could have, when I just recited some ayahs even when I hadn’t known any of its meanings.

And now when I see this ayah, it makes complete sense.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاءٌ لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

“Mankind! There has to come to you counsel from your Master and healing for what is in the chests and guidance and mercy for the believers.” Surah Yunus, 57

The word I want to highlight in this ayah is  .مَّوْعِظَةThis word is usually translated as counsel or advice or instruction. But there are many words in Arabic for advice and counsel. Why this word specifically in this ayah? Because مَّوْعِظَة means an advice that touches your heart. An advice that penetrates deep into your heart and brings a change in you. The kind of counsel that moves you to tears. Subhaanallah! This is how Allah describes His Word (the Quran) in this ayah. His Words are the only Words that can bring our hearts rest. That can finally help us make sense through things that we couldn’t, even when we talked to loved ones. That can heal our hearts even after we thought it was impossible, and fill it with joy and aspirations. All of this, only if we let those Words become a healing for us. If we just start giving it preference over other things even a little bit. And Wallaahi we will feel our hearts healing from agonies that we never even thought existed in them  In Sha Allah!

May Allah make us of those who receive the healing from His Words. Ameen!

އަޅުގަނޑު ހިތްވަރު ދެރަވެފައިވި ދުވަސްތަކުގައި ހަމައެކަނި އަޑުއަހާލެވުނު އާޔަތެއްގެ ސަބަބުން އާ ހިތްވަރެއް ލިބުނު ދުވަސްތައް އަޅުގަނޑަށް ގުނާ ޢަދަދެއް ނުކުރެވެއެވެ. ވާގޮތް އެކަކަށްވެސް ކިޔައިދޭން ނޭނގޭހާ ވަރަށް ދެރަވެފައި ވަނިކޮށް ފެނުނު އާޔަތެއްގެ ސަބަބުން ހިތަށް ހަމަޖެހުން ލިބުނު ޢަދަދެއް ނޭނގެއެވެ. ހަނދާންވެގެން ދިޔަ އާޔަތެއްގެ ސަބަބުން ކަރުނަތަކަކާއި އިންތިހާ ދަރަޖައިގެ ނާއުއްމީދުތަކެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ވަނިކޮށް އުފާވެރި މުސްތަޤްބަލަކާއި ދިމާލަށް ފިޔަވަޅުތައް އަޅަން ހިތްވަރު ލިބިގެން ދިޔަ ޢަދަދެއްވެސް ނޭނގެއެވެ. އާޔަތްތަކުގެ މާނަވެސް ނޭނގެނީސް އެ އާޔަތްތައް ކިޔަވަމުން ދަނިކޮށް، ދުވަހަކުވެސް ނުކުރެވޭނެހެން ހީވި ކަންތައް ކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އަމިއްލަ ނަފްސަށްކުރާ އިތުބާރު އިތުރުވެގެން ދިޔައި ކިތައްފަހަރު މަތިންކަންވެސް ނޭނގެއެވެ.

މިއަދު އަޅުގަނޑަށް މި އާޔަތް ފެންނަ ކޮންމެ ފަހަރަކު މި އާޔަތާއިމެދު އެއްވެސް ޝައްކެތްނެތި ޤަބޫލުކުރެވެއެވެ.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاءٌ لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

"މީސްތަކުންނެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ޙަޟްރަތުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ގާތަށް ވަޢްޟަކާއި، ހިތްތަކުގައިވާ ބަލިތަކަށް ޝިފާ އަކާއި، މުއުމިނުންނަށް ތެދުމަގަކާއި ރަޙްމަތެއް އަތުވެއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ." ސޫރަތް ޔޫނުސް، 57

މި އާޔަތުގައި އަޅުގަނޑު އަލިއަޅުވާލަން ބޭނުންވާ ބަހަކީ مَّوْعِظَة އެވެ. މި ބަސް ދިވެހި ބަހުން އާއްމު ގޮތެއްގައި ތަރުޖަމާވެގެން 'ވަޢްޟު' ގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. އެހެންނޫނީ ނަޞޭޙަތުގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. އެހެނަސް ނަޞޭޙަތަށްޓަކައި ޢަރަބި ބަހުގައި ބައިވަރު ބަސްތައް ހުރެއެވެ. މި ބަސް މި އާޔަތުގައި އޮތުމުގެ ޚާޞިއްޔަތަކީ ކޮބައިހެއްޔެވެ؟ مَّوْعِظَة ގެ މާނައަކީ ތިބާގެ ހިތަށް އަސަރު ފޯރުވާފަދަ ނަޞޭޙަތެކެވެ. ތިބާގެ ހިތުގެ އެންމެ އަޑިއަށް ދަތުރުކޮށް ތިބާގެ އުޅުމަށް ބަދަލެއް ގެންނާނެ ފަދަ ނަޞޭޙަތެކެވެ. ތިބާގެ ހިތަށް ކުރާ އަސަރެއްގެ ސަބަބުން ލޮލަށް ކަރުނަތައް ގެނުވާފަދަ ނަޞޭޙަތެކެވެ. ސުބަޙާނަ ﷲ! މިއީ މި އާޔަތުގައި ﷲ އެކަލާނގެ ބަސްފުޅަށް (ޤުރުއާނަށް) ދެއްވި ސިފަކުރެއްވުމެވެ. އަހަރުމެންގެ ހިތްތަކަށް ހަމަޖެހުން ގެނެސްދޭނެ ބަސްފުޅަކީ ހަމައެކަނި އެ ބަސްފުޅެވެ. އޮޅުންބޮޅުން ގަނޑެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ވަނިކޮށް ލޯބިވާ މީހަކާއި ވާހަކަ ދެއްކުމުން ވެސް ޙައްލުނުވީ ހިތުތެރޭގައިވި ދަތިތަކަށް ނިމުމެއް ގެނެސްދޭނެ ބަސްފުޅެވެ. އަހަރުމެން އެއީ ނުވާނެ ކަމެއްކަމަށް ނިންމައިގެން ތިއްބާވެސް އަހަރުމެންގެ ހިތްތަކަށް ޝިފާއެއް ގެނެސް އެ ހިތްތައް އުފަލާއި އުއްމީދުތަކުން ފުރުއްވާނެ ބަސްފުޅެވެ. މި ހުރިހާ ކަމެއްވާނީ އެ ބަސްފުޅަކީ އަހަރުމެންނަށް އޮތް ޝިފާއެއް ކަމަށް ހަދަން އަހަރުމެން އަމިއްލައަށް އެދުމުންނެވެ. އެހެން ކަންތަކަށްވުރެ ބޮޑަށް ކުޑަ މިންވަރަކުން ވިޔަސް އެ ބަސްފުޅަށް ސަމާލުކަން ދޭން ފަށާށެވެ. އޭރުން ތިބާގެ ހިތުގައިވީކަން ތިބާ ނުދެނެހުރި އެތައް ޒަޚަމްތަކާއި ހިތާމަތައް ވެސް ނެތި ހިނގައިދާނެއެވެ. މާތް ﷲ އަޅަމެން އެންމެންނަކީ އެކަލާނގެ ބަސްފުޅުން ހިތްތަކަށް ޝިފާ ލިބިގަންނަ ބައެއް ކަމުގައި ލައްވާށި! އާމީން!
