Hiyaa (Part 7) - English blog post

When we decide to give up something for the sake of Allah, often our hearts are filled with fear. The fear of losing something we love. The fear of giving up something that was once a huge part of our lives. The fear of not knowing whether we would be able to bear the pain that will come with the loss.

And when we do give up that thing or the behavior that we desired so much, we do feel the pain. We do feel the hurt. We do feel the restlessness. But Wallaahi all of this, is so that we can feel the healing that Allah Will grant us if we persevere through it.

It is then that we realize that Allah is in fact the One Who Loves us the most. That it is He Who Will be there for us even when no one is. That it is He Who has the power to turn even the most painful moments into blissful ones with the sweetness of faith.

And then you’ll realize how true the ayah below is.

“…And whoever believes in Allah, He Will guide his heart.” Surah Taghabun, 11
