Hiyaa (Part 1) - Blog post (ii)

I've said this way too many times but I won't get tired of saying it. In a lot of situations in life, we fail to realize that a loss in itself is a huge blessing. That its a way of Allah protecting us. That if we got what we wanted, it could have lead to our destruction.
There is this beautiful hadhith I learned this year, which is explained in detail in this beautiful lecture below. The hadhith describes a person, who was about to get a high position in this world. He does all he could and does his best to get it. And he was so close to sure that he was in fact going to get it.
At that moment, Allah looks at him from above the seven heavens, and He swt tells the angels, to take that blessing away from him. You might think that this is because Allah swt does not love that person. But when the angels ask Allah swt about why that blessing should be taken away from the person, He says "....take it away from him because if I make it easy for him, if that person attains what they are looking for, that person will end up going to Hellfire."
So you see dear brothers and sisters, when Allah swt takes something away from us, its not necessarily because He hates us. Rather its because of His Extreme Love for us. Its because of a Love that wants to save us both in this world and in the next.
You could imagine the person in the hadhith falling into despair and sadness when he doesnt get the position he was wishing for. How he would go about thinking to himself that it happened because Allah doesnt love him. But how wrong is his assumption? Subhaanallah!
May Allah swt make us of those who have the wisdom to understand that whatever we lose is for our own good. Ameen!

އީ އަޅުގަނޑު ވަރަށް ގިނައިން ހަނދުމަކޮށްދީފައިވާ ވާހަކައަކަށް ވިޔަސް ބުނެބުނެ ވަރުބަލި ނުވާ ވާހަކައެކެވެ. އެއީ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ވަރަށް ގިނަ ޙާލަތްތަކުގައި އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ކޮންމެ ޒާތެއްގެ ގެއްލުމެއް ލިބުނަސް އޭގެ ފަހަތުގައި ވަރަށް ބޮޑު ހެވެއް ވާ ވާހަކައެވެ. އެ ގެއްލުމުގެ ފަހަތުގައިވަނީ ﷲ ގެ ރައްކާތެރިކަން ކަމަށްވެދާނެއެވެ. ފަހަރެއްގައި އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ބޭނުންވާ ގޮތަށް ކަންތައްވުމުން އޭގެ ސަބަބުން އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ހަލާކުވެގެން ދިޔުން ގާތް ކަމަށްވެސް ވެދާނެއެވެ.
ތިރީގައިވާ ދަރުހުގައި ބުނެދެވިފައިވަނީ އަޅުގަނޑު މި އަހަރު ތެރޭގައި ދަސްކުރި ވަރަށް ރީތި ޙަދީޘެކެވެ. މި ޙަދީޘްގައި ސިފަކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ މި ދުނިޔޭގައި ވަރަށް މަތީ މަޤާމެއް ލިބެން އުޅުނު މީހެއްގެ ވާހަކައެވެ. އެ މީހާ އެ މަޤާމް ހޯދުމަށްޓަކައި އޭނައަށް ވެވެން އޮތްހާ ކަމެއް އެންމެ ފުރިހަމައަށް ކުރިއެވެ. އަދި އެ މަޤާމް އޭނައަށް ލިބޭނެ ކަމާއި މެދު އޭނައަށް ޔަޤީނާއި ގާތްވެފައިވިއެވެ.
ހަމަ އެވަގުތު ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ އެމީހާއަށް 7 އުޑުގެ މަތިން ބައްލަވައި އެ ނިޢުމަތް އެ މީހާއާއި ދުރުކުރެއްވުމަށް މަލާއިކަތުންނަށް އަންގަވައެވެ. މިއީ ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ އެމީހާދެކެ ރުހިވޮޑިގެންނުވާތީ ނިންމެވި ނިންމުމެއްކަމަށް ތިބާއަށް ހީވެދާނެއެވެ. އެހެނަސް އެ ނިޢުމަތް އެމީހާއާއި ދުރުކުރަންވީ ކީއްވެތޯ މަލާއިކަތުން ސުވާލުކުރެއްވުމުން ﷲ ވަޙީކުރައްވައެވެ. ".....އެ ނިޢުމަތް އަޅާއާއި ދުރުކުރާށެވެ. އެހެނީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަން އޭނައަށް ފަސޭހަ ކޮށްދެއްވައިފިނަމަ އޭނަ ވަންނާނީ ނަރަކައަށެވެ."
މި ޙަދީޘްއިން އެނގެނީ ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ވަކި ނިޢުމަތަކުން މަޙްރޫމް ކުރައްވަނީ ވަކި އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ނުރުހުންވެވޮޑިގެނެއް ނޫންކަމެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު އެއީ އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ މައްޗަށް ލައްވާ ރަޙްމަތެއްގެ ބޮޑުކަމުންނެވެ. މިދުނިޔެއާއި އާޚިރަތުގައިވެސް އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ރައްކާތެރިކަމަށް އެދޭ ލޯބިފުޅެއްގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ.
މި ޙަދީޘްގައި ސިފަކުރެވުނު މީހާއަށް އޭނަ އެދުނު މަޤާމް ނުލިބުމުން އޭނަ ދެރަވާނެ މިންވަރު ތިބާ ހިތަށް ގެންނާށެވެ. ދުވަސްތައް ގުނަމުން ދާވަރަކަށް ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ އޭނަ ދެކެ ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެންނުވާ ކަމަށް ހީކުރާނެ ގޮތް ޚިޔާލަށް ގެންނާށެވެ. އެހެނަސް އެއީ ކިހާ ބޮޑު ކުށްހީއެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ސުބްޙާނަ ﷲ!
މާތް ﷲ އަޅަމެންނަކީ ކޮންމެ ފަދަ ކަމެއް ގެއްލުނަސް އޭގެ ފަހަތުގައި ހެވެއްވާކަން ފަހުމްވުމުގެ ޙިކުމަތް ލިބިގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ލައްވާށި! އާމީން!

Arabic Pronouns (dhameer)

The chart above shows the pronouns of the Arabic language. Below each pronoun is its attached form (in purple). Pronouns can be seen independently or attached to a word. For example هُوَ which means ‘he  or it ’ can be attached to a word like كِتَابُ (which means book). To attach, we should look for the attached form of the pronoun. Attached form of هُوَ is هُ so we can say كِتَابُهُ and this would mean, ‘his book.’ Some pronouns have two attached forms. We choose the attached form for a pronoun depending on the harakah (fili) on the last letter of the word. For example if the word was كِتَابِ it will be very difficult and sounds weird to say كِتَابِهُ so the Arab says كِتَابِهِ and this would also mean ‘his book’. So the second form of an attached pronoun is only used when there is a kasra (ibifili) on the last letter. The pronoun ‘ana’ is an exceptional case. Harf of Nasb (English + Dhivehi)

حَرف نَصب إِنَّ                                   أَنَّ                              كَأَنَّ لَيْتَ                          لاَكِنَّ                  لَعَلَّ These are called Harf of Nasb. Their meanings are as follows: إِنَّ – For sure أَنَّ – that كَأَنَّ – as though لَيْتَ – if only لاَكِنَّ – however لَعَلَّ – so that/hopefully/maybe The word after harf of nasb must be a nasb. (must end with fathha, AANI sound or EENA sound – look up lessons on status) A harf of nasb doesn’t necessarily beat up the word next to it. There may be there words between harf of nasb and the word beaten up. Eg: إِنَّ اللّهَ إِنَّ is the harf nasb. The word اللّهَ is the ismu إِنَّ . Because the word became nasb due to إِنَّ . Mudhaaf-mudhaaf ilaihi with pronouns Among the lessons related to pronouns, we had looked at the pronouns chart. Below is a picture to help you remember. The ‘attached’ forms are actually nasb or jarr versions of the pronouns. They are called ‘attached’ forms because they are always found attached to a word. Example:    رَسُوْلُهُ If you find هُ   or هِ you must know that it’s the attached form of هُوَ and can only be nasb or jarr status. Exercise 1: Identify and write the attached forms of the given pronouns by looking at the chart.
