Where grammar comes to life:
How many times do we feel like Allah will not forgive us when we commit a sin? How many times do we feel that Allah will no longer love us because of that sin? And no matter how many times someone tells you not to lose hope, you still doubt whether or not Allah Will forgive you. You feel that Allah will not love you no matter how many good deeds you do. If you feel this way, look at the words below.

فَمَن تَابَ مِن بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ اللَّـهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

“But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”

Harf إِنَّ from among the harf nasb is a harf used to remove all doubt. And Allah uses this harf twice in this ayah. The first time to say that He, WITHOUT A DOUBT, turns towards the one who repents and corrects his behavior. The second time before He mentioned that He is NO DOUBT the Forgiving and Merciful.

So the next time you doubt Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy, look at the إِنَّ in this ayah. You see how Allah speaks straight to our insecure hearts just by the use of the harf? Subhaanallah!

ޤަވާޢިދުތަކަށް ދިރުންދޭ އާޔަތްތައް:
ފާފައެއް ކުރުމަށްފަހު ﷲ ތިބާއަށް ޢަފޫ ނުދެއްވާނެހެން ތިބާއަށް ހީވީ ކިތައް ފަހަރު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެ ފާފައިގެ ސަބަބުން ﷲ ތިބާދެކެ ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެންނުވާނެހެން ތިބާއަށް ހީވީ ކިތައް ފަހަރު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މީހަކު ތިބާ ގާތު ކިތަންމެ ފަހަރަކު އުއްމީދު ކަނޑާނުލަން ބުންޏަސް ﷲ ތިބާއަށް ޢަފޫ ދެއްވާނެ ކަމާމެދު ތިބާއަށް ޝައްކުކުރެވެއެވެ. ތިބާ ދެން ކިތަންމެ ގިނަ ހެޔޮ ޢަމަލެއް ކުރިޔަސް ﷲ ތިބާދެކެ ލޯބިނުވާނެހެން ތިބާއަށް ހީވެއެވެ. މި އިޙްސާސްތައް ކުރެވޭނަމަ ތިރީގައިވާ އާޔަތަށް ބަލާށެވެ.

"ފަހެ ނުބައިކަމެއް ކުރެވުމަށްފަހު ތައުބާވެ (އޭނާގެ ޢަމަލުތައް) އިޞްލާޙު ކޮށްފިމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އެމީހާގެ މައްޗަށް ތައުބާ ލައްވާނެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ." ސޫރަތުލް މާއިދާ، 39

ޙަރްފް إِنَّ އަކީ ޝައްކުތައް ފިލުވާލުމަށްޓަކައި ބޭނުންކުރެވޭ ޙަރްފެކެވެ. މި އާޔަތުގައި ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ ދެ ފަހަރަށް އެ ޙަރްފް ވަޙީ ކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ. ފުރަތަމަ ފަހަރު ވަޙީކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ ތައުބާވެ އިޞްލާޙުވާ މީހާގެ މައްޗަށް ހަމަ ޔަޤީނުންވެސް އެކަލާނގެ ތައުބާ ލައްވާނެކަން އެންގެވުމަށެވެ. ދެވަނަ ފަހަރަށް އެ ޙަރްފް ވަޙީކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ އެކަލާނގެއީ ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ ރަޙްމަތް (ލޯތްބާއި އޯގާތެރިކަން) ލައްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެކަން އެންގެވުމަށެވެ.

އެހެންކަމުން ތިބާގެ ހިތުގައި ﷲ ގެ ފުއްސެވުމާއި އެކަލާނގެ ލޯބިފުޅާމެދު ޝައްކު އުފެދޭ ކޮންމެ ފަހަރަކު މި އާޔަތުގައިވާ إِنَّ އަށް ބަލާށެވެ. އެންމެ ޙަރްފަކުން ވެސް އަހަރުމެންގެ ހިތްތަކުގެ އެންމެ އަޑީގައިވާ ޝައްކުތަކަށް ސީދާ ﷲ ސުބުޙާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ ޖަވާބު ދެއްވުމުން ތިބާގެ ހިތަށް ހަމަޖެހުމެއް ނުލިބޭ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ސުބްޙާނަ ﷲ!.

The chart above shows the pronouns of the Arabic language. Below each pronoun is its attached form (in purple). Pronouns can be seen independently or attached to a word. For example هُوَ which means ‘he  or it ’ can be attached to a word like كِتَابُ (which means book). To attach, we should look for the attached form of the pronoun. Attached form of هُوَ is هُ so we can say كِتَابُهُ and this would mean, ‘his book.’ Some pronouns have two attached forms. حَرف نَصب إِنَّ                                   أَنَّ                              كَأَنَّ لَيْتَ                          لاَكِنَّ                  لَعَلَّ These are called Harf of Nasb. Their meanings are as follows: إِنَّ – For sure أَنَّ – that كَأَنَّ – as though لَيْتَ – if only لاَكِنَّ – however لَعَلَّ – so that/hopefully/maybe The word after harf of nasb must be a nasb. (must end with fathha, AANI sound or EENA sound – look up lessons on status) A harf of nasb doesn’t necessarily beat up the word next to it. There may be there words between harf of nasb and the word beaten up. Eg: إِنَّ اللّهَ إِنَّ is the harf nasb. The word اللّهَ is the ismu إِنَّ . Because the word became nasb due to إِنَّ . Mudhaaf-mudhaaf ilaihi with pronouns Among the lessons related to pronouns, we had looked at the pronouns chart. Below is a picture to help you remember. The ‘attached’ forms are actually nasb or jarr versions of the pronouns. They are called ‘attached’ forms because they are always found attached to a word. Example:    رَسُوْلُهُ If you find هُ   or هِ you must know that it’s the attached form of هُوَ and can only be nasb or jarr status.
