Hadhiya (Blog post 27)

Its one thing to say that “Allah Listens to the call” while you are calling upon Him. But it’s another, to say those same words, when the very thing you are calling for has happened right before your eyes. What we often forget is that we have to keep calling from that very first moment, to that happy ending in order for us to taste the true sweetness of that blessing. Because at the end of the day, that’s one of the ways that we get to feel the Love of the One Who Loves us the most.

ދުޢާއެއް ކުރަމުން ދާހިނދު "ﷲ އަކީ ދުޢާގެ އަޑުއައްސަވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެ'އޭ ބުނުމަކީ އެއްކަމެވެ. އެހެނަސް އެ ދުޢާ ކުރިކަމެއް ލޯ ކުރިމަތިން ޙަޤީޤަތަކަށް ވާ ހިނދު އެ ބަސްތައް ބުނުމަކީ މުޅިން އެހެން ކަމެކެވެ. އަހަރުމެން ހަނދާން ނައްތާލާ ކަމަކީ އެ ފުރަތަމަ ވަގުތު ކޮޅުން ފެށިގެން އެ އުފާވެރި ނިމުމާއި ހަމައަށް ދަންދެން ވެސް އަހަރުމެން ދުޢާ ކުރުމުގައި ދެމިތިބެން ޖެހޭކަމެވެ. އެ ލިބޭ ނިޢުމަތެއްގެ ފުރިހަމަ ފޮނި މީރުކަން އިޙްސާސް ކުރެވޭނީ އޭރުންނެވެ. އެހެނީ އަހަރުމެންދެކެ އެންމެ ބޮޑަށް ލޯބިވާ ފަރާތުގެ ލޯބި އިޙްސާސް ކުރެވޭ ގޮތްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން އެއްގޮތަކީ އެއީއެވެ.

Arabic Pronouns (dhameer)

The chart above shows the pronouns of the Arabic language. Below each pronoun is its attached form (in purple). Pronouns can be seen independently or attached to a word. For example هُوَ which means ‘he  or it ’ can be attached to a word like كِتَابُ (which means book). To attach, we should look for the attached form of the pronoun. Attached form of هُوَ is هُ so we can say كِتَابُهُ and this would mean, ‘his book.’ Some pronouns have two attached forms. We choose the attached form for a pronoun depending on the harakah (fili) on the last letter of the word. For example if the word was كِتَابِ it will be very difficult and sounds weird to say كِتَابِهُ so the Arab says كِتَابِهِ and this would also mean ‘his book’. So the second form of an attached pronoun is only used when there is a kasra (ibifili) on the last letter. The pronoun ‘ana’ is an exceptional case. Harf of Nasb (English + Dhivehi)

حَرف نَصب إِنَّ                                   أَنَّ                              كَأَنَّ لَيْتَ                          لاَكِنَّ                  لَعَلَّ These are called Harf of Nasb. Their meanings are as follows: إِنَّ – For sure أَنَّ – that كَأَنَّ – as though لَيْتَ – if only لاَكِنَّ – however لَعَلَّ – so that/hopefully/maybe The word after harf of nasb must be a nasb. (must end with fathha, AANI sound or EENA sound – look up lessons on status) A harf of nasb doesn’t necessarily beat up the word next to it. There may be there words between harf of nasb and the word beaten up. Eg: إِنَّ اللّهَ إِنَّ is the harf nasb. The word اللّهَ is the ismu إِنَّ . Because the word became nasb due to إِنَّ . Mudhaaf-mudhaaf ilaihi with pronouns Among the lessons related to pronouns, we had looked at the pronouns chart. Below is a picture to help you remember. The ‘attached’ forms are actually nasb or jarr versions of the pronouns. They are called ‘attached’ forms because they are always found attached to a word. Example:    رَسُوْلُهُ If you find هُ   or هِ you must know that it’s the attached form of هُوَ and can only be nasb or jarr status. Exercise 1: Identify and write the attached forms of the given pronouns by looking at the chart.
